COLORFLO contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide- two natural ingredients that provide the most effective sun protection available.
The difference between sunblock and sunscreen is quite simple. Sunblock is effective immediately. It is like pulling a shade down between you and the sun. COLORFLO blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
Sunscreen takes approximately 30 minutes to create a chemical interactive filter of the sun. It is like having a window screen between you and the sun-some harmful rays can still pentrade the skin, particularly within the first 30 minutes.
Q: How should I apply COLORFLO for everyday sun protection?

For everyday protection, brush it on as your foundation in the morning as part of your makeup routine. Like with any sun protection, you need a substantial layer to block out the sun's harmful rays. Apply COLORFLO in a circular motion-using a bit of pressure. Slide the plastic sleeve on the brush halfway up to cover the small areas around the nose, under eyes and eyelids. A touch up during the day only makes the skin look better, and you can do it without a mirror.
Q: How often should I reapply COLORFLO after swimming or perspiring?

Like with all sun protection products, when at the beach or pool or when doing any physical outdoor activity reapply every 1.5-2 hours for optimum protection. COLORFLO is easy to toss in a beach bag, tennis or golf bag. It is sweatproof and water-resistant, but remember to reapply when you come out of the water. COLORFLO will remain on the skin even when lightly patted with a towel.
Q: What is the best way to dispense COLORFLO?

To initially prep the brush-press the button at the base of COLORFLO 1-2 times before your first application to get the minerals flowing through the brush head. After the intial prep, there is no need to pump the brush again. For regular use, simply tap the brush across the fleshy part of your palm until a small amount of minerals are visible in the brush. To get more precise coverage around the nose, under eyes and on eyelids, simply slide the plastic sleeve over the brush HALFWAY, giving you a smaller brush to work with.
Q: When do you refill the brush and how do you know how much to refill? Is it possible to overfill the brush?

The COLORFLO brush contains approximately 3 months worth of product based on everyday use (once or twice daily). You should only refill the COLORFLO brush when it is emply, or near empty.
To refill, simply unscrew the base of the brush dispenser and pour powder from the refill container into dispenser. Directions are found on the refill package. Refill containers hold approximately the same amount of product as the original dispenser (though it may look like less due to settling).
COLORFLO works on an air-flow system and should hold NO MORE than one refill in the barrel at the time. Too much mineral in the barrel can prevent the brush from working correctly.

Apply a good coat of COLORFLO to the eyelid as a base before applying liner and shadow.
After lining the eyes, top the liner with a light layer of a shadow to "set" the liner.

The shadow is housed in the lid. To apply eyeshadow color, twist off the cap to open to pick up the eyeshadow color. To add more shadow to the lid, simply twist the cap back and forth over applicator repeatedly to pick up more color, and reapply.

To keep the angled liner sharp, twist the liner up 1/8", press on a clean tissue, and drag along a flat surface. The liner will return to its original precise, angle.

After using any Susan Posnick product, you can use a small amount of brush cleaner or alcohol to sterilize. Just spray on a tissue and swipe the applicator or product across to disinfect.
To give the COLORFLO brush a good cleaning, hold it sideways and run just the top of brush head under water. Mix a little mild soap or shampoo into the brush head. Continue holding it on its side and carefully rinse the soap. Dry overnight on its side. We recommend giving your brush a good cleaning before you refill it.
