CHOOSING THE FOUNDATION COLOR THAT’S BEST FOR YOU

Posted: Jun 20 2017

Like many women, picking the right shade can often be a daunting experience. Susan Posnick reveals the trick to ‘acing your base’ with COLORFLO foundations. COLORFLO provides you with portable, natural, on-the-go foundation and sun protection all in one self-dispensing brush.  Although it’s weightless on the skin, and it looks like you’re wearing nothing at all, it still provides plenty of coverage. Far too often, women use the wrong foundation color because they have no knowledge of their own complexion needs, so here are a few guidelines to help you figure out how to choose your best color.

First determine what undertone your skin has. Start by looking at the veins on the underside of your wrists. If they're mostly blue or purple, you have cool undertones; if they're more of a greenish yellow, you have warm undertones; and if your veins look like a mix of green, blue, yellow, and purple, your undertones are neutral.

Once you know your undertone, you can easily find your color match.

Second, determine how your skin reacts to the sun. If you always burn, M1, M2, or M3 ( the lightest shades)  are your best bets. If you burn then tan, try M4, M5, or M6. If you tan and don’t burn then M7, M8, or M9 are perfect for you! For darker skin tones, including African-American use M10, M11, or M12.

There are thousands of foundations out there providing all levels of coverage.  While this means you have a lot of options, it can be overwhelming if you’re a makeup beginner or want to try something new. COLORFLO makes that a breeze! These quick tips will help you look flawless and pick the COLORFLO Foundation that is perfect for you.
